Punjab Cultural Tours, Lahore, Multan & Bahawalpur
Mughal mosques, Sufi shrines, walled cities and the deserts of southern Punjab, a heritage-and-food itinerary across Pakistan's most historically dense region.
Punjab carries more of Pakistan's recorded history than any other province, Indus Valley sites, Buddhist Taxila, the Mughal capitals of Lahore and Sheikhupura, Sikh and Sufi shrines, and the colonial layers of cantonment Lahore. For a cultural traveler, two well-planned weeks here cover 2,500 years of South Asian history.
A Punjab cultural tour is not just about monuments, food, music, craft and street life are equally important. We design routes that move from Lahore's walled city through Multan's Sufi quarter to Bahawalpur's desert palaces, with food, walks and conversations woven in.
Punjab Cultural Travel Overview
Punjab is a flat, fertile alluvial plain, five rivers, intensive agriculture, and dense urban culture. Distances between major cities (Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur) are 300–550 km, comfortably driven or rail-connected.
Most international visitors fly into Lahore directly; domestic travelers add Punjab as a 4–10 day extension to a northern Pakistan trip. The province deserves more than a single day in Lahore.

Multan: Shrines, Crafts and Culture
Multan is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in South Asia, and Pakistan's Sufi capital. The 13th-century shrine of Bahauddin Zakariya and the blue-tiled shrine of Shah Rukn-e-Alam dominate the skyline. The bazaar specializes in blue Multani pottery, camel-bone inlay, and silk khussa shoes.
Multan is hot, winter (November to March) is the sensible visit window. We pair Multan with Multan Fort, the Tomb of Shah Yusuf Gardezi, and a quiet evening of qawwali at one of the smaller shrines.
