When to Travel

The best season for Karakoram expeditions is usually from June to August, especially for 8,000m and 7,000m climbs. Trekking routes and lower trekking peaks can often be planned from June to September depending on snow, weather, road access, and route condition.

Difficulty and Fitness

Karakoram trips range from moderate treks to extreme high-altitude expeditions. K2 and Gasherbrum climbs require serious mountaineering experience. Spantik and other 7,000m peaks require strong expedition fitness. Trekking peaks such as Pastore, Khayrut, Khosar Gang, and Gondogoro Peak are suitable for strong trekkers with proper preparation.
